In collaboration with social enterprise The Project Futurus x Captain Softmeal, the Group announced the launch of its exquisite softmeal series. With Mr. Tommy Cheung GBM, GBS, JP and The Hon Jonathan Leung, MH, the Legislative Council (catering sector) joining as honourable guests, 30 elderly participants and their families from the Methodist Centre were invited to experience our new Inclusive Dining menu, featuring eight appealing and nutritious courses, at Trusty Congee King (Kornhill branch). The swallowing-friendly menu is designed to enable individuals with chewing or swallowing difficulties to enjoy easy‑to‑chew and easy‑to‑swallow dishes while retaining the original shape, taste and nutritional value of each dish.
As the first Michelin Bib Gourmand–recommended restaurant in Hong Kong to launch freshly made softmeal congee, we aim to encourage seniors with dysphagia and their families to dine out together and rediscover the joy of shared meals. This initiative not only promotes a swallowing‑friendly dining culture but also represents a significant milestone in meeting societal expectations and advancing sustainable development within the catering industry.
