Mr. Chan Wing-On, Ken JP, the esteemed Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Tai Hing Group, was a transformative figure in the culinary industry. Born in Hong Kong and originating from Bao'an, Guangdong, Mr. Chan began his professional journey at the age of 15 as an apprentice in a butcher stall. This early experience instilled in him a strong work ethic and an unwavering resilience that would define his career.

In 1989, Mr. Chan launched the inaugural “Tai Hing” restaurant in Sai Wan Ho, setting the foundation for what would become a successful culinary empire. His visionary leadership and commitment to quality enabled the organization to thrive, exemplifying diligence and innovation in every endeavor.

Under Mr. Chan's guidance, the Group made significant strides, including its expansion into Shenzhen in 2004, thus marking the beginning of its mainland market presence. In 2018, the establishment of a food factory and logistics hub in Dongguan further bolstered operational capabilities. The crowning achievement of his career came in June 2019 when Tai Hing Group was successfully listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a testament to his strategic foresight.

Over the course of more than 36 years, Mr. Chan developed a comprehensive multi-brand catering portfolio that spans over 220 locations across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. His contributions have solidified his reputation as a cornerstone of the catering industry. Moreover, he led Tai Hing Group in promoting authentic Hong Kong cuisine overseas, establishing branches at multiple International Airports. Notably, he collaborated with Airlines to provide business-class passengers with authentic culinary experiences, a partnership that became one of the Group's significant milestones in the past.

In recognition of his service to the community and his advocacy for sustainable industry practices, Mr. Chan was honored with the title of Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in 2020. His dedication to nurturing talent and promoting industry growth left an indelible mark.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Chan was passionately involved in numerous social service initiatives. His leadership roles included Founding President of the Hong Kong Catering Industry Association, President of the Governing Council of the Quality Tourism Services Association, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Industry Makers Association, and Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Smart Catering Association. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Council and held various advisory positions in organizations committed to improving industry standards.

Mr. Chan's legacy is defined by his unwavering commitment to excellence and a deep concern for his employees.
