This autumn, Mr. Yuen, Executive Director of the Group, led a team of 25 volunteers to visit the organic education farm of the Produce Green Foundation at Hok Tau Village in Fanling. During the visit, planting techniques of different types of vegetables and basic agricultural knowledge such as organic nutrient management and composting, soiling, seed identification, plant propagation were taught, volunteers enjoyed the farming experiences surrounded with greeneries and under the sun. Few months later, they returned to the fields for harvesting and 120 portions of vegetables were donated to the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association to spread love and social inclusion, as well as promoting green living.
